1. Do I need any experience?

No experience is necessary. I work on an individual basis with my students. I personally walk you through the basics while making your movie with you.

2. How long will my films be?

I encourage the length of your movie to be less than 3 minutes. I ask you to use exterior settings, no dialogue, and a clear visual story line.

3. Will this class prepare me for film school?

Yes, it will. In fact, several of my students have been accepted to prestigious film schools such as the Director's Program at the American Film Institute in Hollywood, and the Graduate Film Program at Columbia University in New York and collage of Santa Fe in New Mexico.

4. What makes this workshop different than others?

The cost of the workshop, approach to teaching film, and filmmaking itself.

Note: The cost of the workshop is about 10 times less than any other similar workshop in the country. Where else can you produce a movie for only $459 (compare New York Film Academy over $4,000)

5. Can I take the workshop more than once?

Yes, you can. It saves you money and makes you a better filmmaker. I encourage you to do so. Many of my students have done that and have made more movies.

6. How long does it take to shoot the movies?

We try to shoot all of the students' movies on the Saturday of the week of the workshop.

7. Since your workshop is a "No-Dialogue" does it mean that I can't use any dialogue at all?

You can use dialogue, I am not against it, but I am against the wrong use of it. In fact, good dialogue enhances a well-developed visual story.

8. I am coming out of town. Do you provide accommodation?

No, we do not provide accommodations, but we have deals with local motels where you can stay at a discount rate for the week of the workshop. Contact us before the workshop and we will help.
